Money Management
Fall financial education programming presented by
Great Erie Federal Credit Union and the Town of Aurora Recreation Department.

Budgeting Basics:
Teaching children about money. A budget is a plan that shows you how you can spend your money. You will discuss the fundamentals of creating a budget, learn zero based budgeting and the 50/30/20 rule. You’ll need to tell your money where to go, help you meet your goals and priorities your expenses. How to manage your finances and still have money left over for pizza.
 

Banking 101:
The ins and outs of financial institutions. Learn the different types of banking institutions, types of accounts, and the fundamentals of banking. A good financial education is key to healthier finances. 

Borrowing Money:
An introduction to credit and borrowing: buying something now and paying for it later, plus interest. If you are buying your first car, or a future college student, chances are that you are considering a loan. Before making any decisions, it pays to understand the basic principles behind borrowing. You will learn the common types of loans, credit types, how to build your credit score, debt consolidation, along with factors to be considered when borrowing money. Good credit, bad credit and tips on managing credit wisely are key elements to understand.
