We all need to let off steam from time to time... learn embroidery basics while indulging in a little irreverence. Reframing "women's work" like traditional embroidery is popular for a reason.... it's a fantastic stress relief! Join us for a satisfying Monday evening stitching inspired by difficult women everywhere (and those who put it in writing- like this one). We will learn how to transfer an original drawing or pattern to fabric and stitch whatever naughty or nice thing you'd like to get out in basic embroidery stitch-work.

Crochet Catch-Alls: Working in the Round
Learn to use simple crochet stitches to create super cute functional nesting catch-alls with your own two hands. We'll learn how to crochet in the round, join stitches, and three basic crochet stitches (plus one extra special one). Hook and starter supply of environmentally responsible (natural materials) yarn included in student fee.
Skills needed: This class is for beginners who are already proficient in chaining, single and double crochet basics. Please only enroll if you have these skills or if you have taken the class' pre-requisite. Beginners Crochet is offered on January 12th.

Needle Felted Conversation Hearts
Use needle felting to craft the ultimate handmade Valentine's Day accessory! Students will form their Valentines using needle felt technique and mold with wool, then use needle felt technique to add their message. Students will take home two handmade Valentines (or anti-Valentines- you do you).

Extreme Arm Knitting: Wearable Cowl
All the Basics- We will learn how to knit without using needles with super silky soft bulky wool Roving. Within class time we'll learn basic stitches, knit the ultimate bundle-up scarf, and learn how to care for it. No experience needed! Supply of environmentally responsible (natural materials) yarn included in student fee.

Tami Fuller is a second-generation fiber artist and works as an educator and exhibiting fine fiber artist out of her studio in East Aurora. Her work integrates the traditional foundations of hand-constructed processes with modern technique. Her teaching presents the fiber arts in new, modern contexts that are still strongly rooted in traditional practices, and she teaches across both New York State and nationwide. She offers both private and group instruction. Her work has been published internationally and has received awards from NY Sheep and Wool and the Carnegie Art Center. Her work is held in private collections in the US, Canada, and Australia. She is an exhibiting member of the Buffalo Society of Artists and 2021 Roycroft Emerging Artist.
